Chris serves as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Portfolio Manager for Pine Valley Investments. Chris oversees all aspects of investment management including portfolio construction/development, research, and trading. In addition, Chris manages PVI’s investment management operations team responsible for strategy implementation and maintenance across the entire firm. Chris is a member of the firm's investment committee and the lead portfolio manager for PVI’s single stock and Core ETFs strategies.

Prior to joining Pine Valley Investments (PVI) in 2019, Chris spent 10 years working for S&P Dow Jones Indexes. In his role as senior index manager, Chris was responsible for managing numerous indexes which underlie many well-known exchange traded funds. During his 10 years, Chris was responsible for managing the following index families, Dow Jones U.S Select Sectors, Dow Jones U.S Indexes, Dow Jones U.S Style Indexes, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Titans, S&P Quality and Momentum Factor Indexes, S&P Merger Arbitrage, S&P Global Intrinsic Value and Morningstar Style Indexes. In his capacity as index manager, Chris worked closely with large asset managers such as Blackrock, Goldman Sachs and State Street and helped them deliver structured products to the global investment marketplace.

Chris is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, having obtained the designation in August 2017. Chris also received a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) in 2019.
